Dear One tough muther,

Everyday I walk to and from work. I enjoy the walk home and this is really the fastest closet route. But- everyday on my walk home I dread one home, because the owner ( I assume) gives me the stare down. The moment I come in view this man will already start the stare down until I I eventually pass his home. I have tried to start up conversation by saying , hello how are you? but nope nothing. He doesn’t say a word just stares at me and creeps me out. A few times there were other people in his yard going about their business and they have said hello but not him. What is this man’s problem? He makes me feel uncomfortable even though i know it is just this one home that I feel this way with. What should I do?

Dear Anette,

I know I am reaching here but maybe he is mentally disabled.
There is no other reason I can think of that someone would openly stare.
When you said everyone in the yard spoke once but him, I started thinking maybe he has issues and he is not just being rude or creepy. Can you take another street or at least walk across the one that one?
If there is no other way, as you walk by his house continue to say Hello and keep walking.
Hopefully the stare-down sessions eventually stop and he finds something else to focus on.
Remember always trust your gut, if it feels weird it probably is.

Good Luck and Huge Muther Hugs,

One Tough Muther
