I have dreams every single night, and they are very real. I wake up feeling the same feelings I felt in the dream and yearning for the loving person from my dream or if something tragic happens in my dream I will wake up and burst into tears. I remember every single detail from my dreams and every single conversation just as it went in my dreams. My husband thinks I am nuts because he says he doesn’t dream at all. In a way this is a curse because Of how I wake up feeling so much. Why do you think I feel so much from my dreams and remember?

Dear Natalie,

I am intrigued by this because I have very few memories of my dreams. I tried to research “realistic dreams” and the best explanation I could come up with is that people under a lot stress have very emotional dreams. But who isn’t under stress? I also spoke to my girlfriend who is a doctor and she had no clear cut explanation either.
I read and read however everything I found regarding the physiology of dreaming was a theory and controversial. Dreams are something that have been studied since the beginning of time and there appears to be no one size fits all explanation or solid science.

Natalie, you say you have these dreams every night. Have you had them most of your life? When did they start? I’m wondering if you document how you are feeling during the day, will you see a connection. I’m sorry I don’t have an answer but I must say I am intrigued, impressed and a bit envious. I rarely remember my dreams.
I will say if it is effecting you mentally or physically during the day then you should speak to your doctor to rule out any health issues.

Good Luck & Huge Muther Hugs,

One Tough Muther
