I feel like I have a coffee addiction. When I wake up in the a.m I am a zombie so I brew a cup or stop at the local coffee shop. And it is like an instant fix. I feel cured, I feel awake. But some days I have up to 4 coffee cups full. I have tried to switch from coffee to tea but tea isn’t the same. Do you really think my four cups of coffee are seriously going to affect my health. People drink coffee every single day , and lots of it.

I’m feeling you kid! I also have 2-4 cups of coffee and one very large cup of green tea daily. However I also consume a approximately 6 to 8 glasses of water a day, easily.
Caffeine is in coffee, tea, soda, chocolate and many things and it is a central nervous center stimulate, a drug of sorts. No, I don’t think 4 cups of coffee shouldn’t be an issue for some people however everyone metabolizes things differently. Remeber to drink water because caffeine is dehydrating and that in it’s self can be an issue.
Tia, just to be safe, check with your Doctor next time you go. And if you are concerned definitely cut back especially if you are shaky or have heart palpitations.
If you research caffeine on the internet there are fabulous studies available showing good and bad characteristics. Just remember in moderation it has been shown to increase mental focus and concentration but checking with your doctor is the smartest thing to do no matter what studies show.
