Dear OTM

I am a bigger woman, tall but heavy and I think I have a pretty face. I like to dress nice, in pretty clothes too, I do my make up and hair.. on Saturday night I met friends and I dressed in a black sexy dress and heels , showing some cleavage (but in a respectable way) . My friends made a big deal about it BUT in a good way . They said I looked beautiful and sexy and couldn’t believe how lovely I looked. Do you think they only said that to make me feel good? Should bigger women not dress sexy? Be less attention grabbing?

Dear Holly,

ROCK IT Girl. Hell yes, you should embrace your sexy self and I don’t think for one minute that your friends said anything just to make you “feel good”. If you are comfortable and feel confidant in what you are wearing and it sounds like you are and you do, Holly use those classy curves by dressing for success in any situation. I have a friend who is a “bigger girl” and she pulls everything together with fabulous accessories, beautiful sweaters, fun outfits and her hair and makeup are always just right. I have seen people gush over what she is wearing and I guarantee you, her size does not even enter their minds. She just looks so classy and pretty and for very little money. I always say, she should be a stylist because this chick can go to Target, Marshalls, T.J. Max or any discount store and for $30 she will buy and pull together an entire awesome outfit from head to toe. EVERYTHING she buys, is on clearance and it looks like she spent serious money.
So Holly my answer is, work it and be proud of who you are, and how you look, you sound just fabulous!

Good Luck & Huge Muther Hugs,

One Tough Muther
